1. Who we are
fairdeal.ie is run by Alderidge Fusion Limited, a company registered in Ireland (company number 816930), registered office 27 Castlesize Drive, Sallins, Co. Kildare, W91 Y9E8. Email derek@legacysteps.ie, phone 087 759 9848.
These terms apply when you buy a service on fairdeal.ie. Please read them before you pay. By ticking the box at checkout and paying, you agree to them.
2. We are not the HSE
fairdeal.ie is an independent service. It is not run by, connected to, or approved by the HSE or any government body. The HSE decides every application under the Nursing Homes Support Scheme (Fair Deal). We cannot influence that decision, speed it up, or guarantee its outcome.
Our service is general guidance and practical help with paperwork. It is not legal, tax or financial advice. For a farm, a business, a nursing home loan on a jointly owned property, or where the applicant’s capacity is in doubt, you should also take advice from a solicitor.

4. How the service is delivered
After payment, we email you a private link, and for Full service your pack, usually within a few minutes. If nothing arrives within an hour, check your junk folder and then contact us.
Keep your private link to yourself. Anyone with the link can see your tracker. If you lose it, you can ask for a new one at fairdeal.ie/my.
5. Your part
- The completed form is filled in from what you enter. You must check every page before signing. By signing, the applicant (or the person signing for them) declares to the HSE that the information is correct. Giving false or misleading information to the HSE is an offence.
- Signatures and dates must be added by hand on the printed form.
- You are responsible for gathering the documents, posting the application, and dealing with the HSE.
- Only use the service for an application you are entitled to help with.
6. Your right to cancel
When you buy online, you normally have 14 days to cancel. Because our service starts as soon as you pay, the checkout asks you to agree that it starts straight away and that you lose your right to cancel once we send your link or pack. If you do not agree, you cannot buy the service online. Contact us instead and we will help.
This does not affect your rights if the service is faulty or not as described. If something is wrong, tell us and we will put it right, or refund you where the law requires.
7. If the HSE form changes
Our form wizard is built for the current HSE application form (Version 4, December 2025). If the HSE publishes a new version, we will update the wizard as soon as we can. If the HSE refuses to accept a form completed with our wizard because it is out of date, contact us and we will refund the price of the form part of the service.
8. Reminder emails
Full service reminders are part of what you bought. You can stop them at any time by replying STOP. We may stop sending reminders if your tracker shows the application has been approved, closed, or not used for a long time.
9. Our responsibility to you
We take care to keep our guidance accurate and up to date with the published rules of the scheme. But we are not responsible for:
- decisions made by the HSE, including how long it takes and what it decides;
- information you enter that is incorrect or incomplete;
- loss caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Our total responsibility to you is limited to the price you paid. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Your information
How we use your information is set out in our privacy notice.
11. Complaints
If you are unhappy with the service, email derek@legacysteps.ie and we will try to put it right. You can also get information about your consumer rights from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission at ccpc.ie.
12. Law
These terms are governed by Irish law, and the Irish courts deal with any dispute. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of your own country’s consumer laws.
